Pixel8 Radiofrequency Microneedling
The Pixel8 offers the latest radiofrequency microneedling technology designed to naturally enhance your skin. It increases your body’s production of collagen and elastin, resulting in smoother, younger-looking skin. This technique is a favorite of our clients because it is noninvasive and does not require any downtime after the procedure. Pixel8 is suitable on all skin types and for all ages, making it an excellent option for anyone wanting to improve their skin. It’s one of the most effective scar treatments and stretch mark treatments.
What Is Unique About Pixel8 Radiofrequency Microneedling?
Pixel8 RF microneedling merges two commonly employed skin rejuvenation technologies: radiofrequency and microneedling. Radiofrequency (RF) technology harnesses the skin's innate resistance to transform RF energy into thermal heat. This heat induces collagen contraction and activates fibroblasts, which are responsible for collagen production. Traditional microneedling inflames the skin, triggering the body's natural wound healing response and stimulating fibroblasts to produce more collagen. When these two techniques are combined, fractional RF microneedling yields superior results that neither technology can achieve independently.
Clinical research indicates that RF microneedling effectively addresses the underlying causes of aging, leading to a notable reduction in wrinkles and age spots. Simultaneously, it tightens and lifts facial and neck skin with minimal downtime and discomfort. This treatment is less invasive than injectables and laser skin resurfacing, all while restoring a youthful radiance to the skin.

How Does the Procedure Work?
Microneedling is known to build collagen in the skin. The Pixel8 combines microneedling and RF to maximize effectiveness and reaches into the deeper layers of the skin.
Each session takes 20-45 minutes, depending on the area being treated and the amount of treatment needed. Before we schedule a session, we’ll consult with clients to discuss their unique treatment plan. On the day of the procedure, we’ll apply a topical anesthetic to make the process more comfortable. The microneedling process uses fine, tiny needles to penetrate the skin. After the treatment, your skin may feel warm, as if you are sunburnt.
When Will I See Results?
Clients can expect to see improvements just a few weeks after a session. The skin improvements will continue over a 6-month period as your body starts to generate new collagen.
Immediately after the session, you’ll notice redness and swelling around the treated area. Some patients compare it to a sunburn. Around three days to a week later, you’ll begin to see brighter, more even skin. After a month, you should see a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improved evenness and minimized pores and scars.
Our experts recommend at least three sessions, one per month, but our aesthetic experts can provide an individualized assessment of your needs.
How Should I Prepare for Treatment?
Recommended: Refrain from using Accutane in the past 6 months. Avoid the application of topical substances that could increase skin sensitivity, such as retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, and acids known for their potential to cause dryness or skin irritation (including alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA), beta hydroxyl acids (BHA), exfoliating masks, salicylic acids, hydroquinone, and benzoyl peroxide acne products) for 5-7 days before your treatment. Do not consume anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen, Motrin, or Advil for 3 days before the treatment, as these substances can disrupt the natural inflammatory process essential for skin rejuvenation. Additionally, avoid IPL/Laser procedures, unprotected sun exposure, or sunburn for 2 weeks before the treatment. Do not engage in waxing, use depilatory creams, or undergo electrolysis in the area being treated for 5-7 days prior. On the day of the procedure, refrain from shaving to prevent skin irritation. If there is dense hair in the treatment area, closely shave the day before your appointment. Please note that moles, warts, or actinic (solar) keratosis should not be treated. If you are prone to cold sores, take antiviral agents for 2 days before and on the day of the treatment. Finally, avoid blood-thinning agents such as aspirin, fish oil, Omega-3, and Vitamin E for 1 week before the treatment, and you can resume using them the day after the procedure.
What Does Post-Treatment Care Look Like?
After the procedure, it’s important to be gentle on your skin. After 24 hours, you can start applying skincare products again. Avoid harsh topical products and alcohol-based toners for the first two weeks after your microneedling RF session.
Do not take anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen, Advil, or Motrin for the first week. Do not use ice face, arnica or bromelain. These products can interfere with the effectiveness of the microneedling and RF.
Avoid strenuous physical activity immediately after the session, and avoid sunlight and heat exposure for the first week after treatment.
